How come there has never been an African-American UFC, Wrestling or K-1 champ?

1. Well wrestling is close to be a 99,9% white dominated sport on a global level, especially in bigger divisions. Blacks participate pretty often but not successfully. I guess their genes are not helpful enough for that sport. USA has won 125 medals and 108 were won by whites and only 17 by all the rest races (of the country) combined

2. As for the UFC, there have been 112 total champions/reigns and 93 of them were won by white fighters regardless nationality which is 83% of all champions. If we add other major organizations as Pride, DREAM, Bellator etc. then white champs exceed 90%.

3. In K-1 there has been a great heavyweight (top 5 of all time easily) black champion but he's from Holland, named Ernesto Hoost. I have met and trained with the man two times in the past. A very nice person indeed and a great champ. But still if we take account all the divisions and all the champs in K-1 history events, over 80% of the tournament winners and champs have been white too. Two of them were Greek legends Mike Zambidis, Stan Longinidis and Paris Vasilikos btw. I mention then simply because I know them on a personal (friendly) level and have trained with them in the past. Sometimes I wonder and think of "what if" type of questions and I went for a professional career in kickboxing, instead of accepting the athletic scholarship I earned and studied law. I had won State, National, World Military and Mediterranean titles and hold victories against guys who later became world professional champs. I would prefer not to mention names since THEY made it to the pro level, while I did quit and went for something else.......So "what if" scenarios have no value really.

4. Well there has never been a NON WHITE strongest competition champ, so I won't even go there.

5. As for wars, empires and great warriors or military legends just consider what skin color and origin peeps and states like Ancient Greece, Rome, British Empire, Napoleon, Alexander The Great etc (I need 500 pages to list them all) and which race dominated, explored, colonized, conquered and in some cases enslaved others and then you get your answer!

Whites have won over 80% of the medals in all sports of both Summer and Winter Olympics when in reality they only make 12-14% of the global population...........THESE ARE FACTS!

MMA as a sport is still in its infancy and still fighting for full legitimacy as well as acceptance in many parts of the world, especially in America, Europe and Asia where the main manly and gentlemanly art of fighting remains boxing where the main weapon is only the fists.

Many still perceive MMA as the alternative for fighters who are not very good at just fighting with their hands.

Many also perceived it as not a sport but a combat competition where anything goes unlike boxing and other martial arts as Taekwondo, Judo, Karate and Kung Fu where there are strict definitive rules of engagement.,.

MMA proponents therefore have a long way to go and much to do to attract more practitioners and hard core fans.

Rampage Jackson and Jon jones is a few. But really blacks only dominant basketball and football simple as that. And yeah whites dominate the heavyweight division but European whites. And that's the only division y'all dominate. In UFC it's Brazilians, Mexicans And blacks.

There have been plenty of dark skeined fighters that may not be from the US but still kick ***..there are far too many of them for me to name right now. And no american has ever truly done well in K-1. i know nothing about NCAA all thought i find it hard to believe there isn't any...look things up before you ask.

Anderson silva is ufc, there will be eventually.

I love all combat sports and my black friends keep saying that white men can't fight but pretty much every heavyweight champ in real wresting (NCAA and Olympics), K-1 and UFC has been white. Whites used to dominate heavyweight boxing from the 1880's until the mide 50's (with the exceptions of Jack Johnson and Joe Louis) and they do dominate again for nearly 15 years now.

Maybe is black dudes who can't fight after all and that's why they always make jokes about white boys? And I am not even including all the strength sports as strongest man competition, or real wars where blacks are completely absent from the top scene. What's up with that?
