How good was george foremans chin?

its definately not bad he did fight many big bangers

Foreman had a pretty good chin. He faced some good punchers in his career like Lyle, Frazier, Norton, Morrison, Holyfield, Moorer, Briggs, and Cooney, whom he said hit him the hardest out of any fighter he has fought. He was of course knocked out by Ali but that was more due to exhaustion than anything. Foreman was only down 3 times in his career I believe, and 2 of the knockdowns came in the Lyle fight. Pretty good beard on Big George.

Big George in his first coming took the best from the likes of bombers and bangers like Gregorio Peralta ( 60 career KO wins ), the rugged George Scrap Iron Johnson, 6-6 giant Jack O'Halloran, Ted Gullick ( 14 KOs in 15 wins ), Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, Scott LeDoux and Jimmy Young, falling only against Muhammad Ali due partly to sheer fatigue and exhaustion and the punishing heat of Zaire. In his second coming, already a grandpop, he took the best from the likes of Dwight Muhammad Qawi, David Jaco, JB Williamson, Bert Cooper, Everett Martin, Jimmy Ellis, Gerry Cooney, Adilson Rodriguez, Ken Lakusta, Alex Stewart, Pierre Coetzer, Evander Holyfield, Tommy Morrison, Michael Moorer, Axel Schultz, Lou Savarese and Shannon Briggs, beating most including Moorer, and not even once having been in danger of being floored, let alone knocked out.

What a fine chin he had.

George Foremans chin was one of the strongest there ever was. Out of 81 fights, he was only knocked out once and it was because he was gassed out, not because he was wobbled [from his chin].

He was only ever wobbled by a strong big powerful puncher in a crazy fight with Lyle, where Foreman showed he has heart. Prime Holyfield knocked out many men but he couldn't even knock out an old Foreman.

Not many people can win a title in their 40's. Not many people can still compete at a world class level when they are in their 40's. His last fight was at 48.

Out of 81 fights, he had only been knocked out once. That was more due to him being exhausted than someone finding the magic button.

Foreman had a stellar chin.

Ron Lyle had him down a buncha times, but that was a crazy fight. and Clay knocked him too but that was also a crazy fight and i hear Foreman came in to Zaire last minute with no time for his body to adjust

its definately not bad he did fight many big bangers
