Is Canelo Alvarez still an undefeated fighter?

Saul alveraz 42-1-1-30 ( ko's ). If that is being undefeated according to your logic then you are a serious troll. (*:*).

Difference here is that Cotto was the Champion made to come down in weight. (The fight was for the WBO welterweight championship) which Pacquiao won off of Cotto at a weight limit of 145, not 147.

With Mayweather V Alvarez they each had a world title whereby the winner would take both I think. A two weight championship fight - welter title and light middle, fought at a catch weight in between the two weight classes. Similar to when Leonard fought Lalonde ( a fight for a super middle and light heavy world title) Not ideal and wrong many would say, but it is different to when Cotto had to come down in weight to defend his title nonetheless.

Mayweather can relinquish world titles seemingly as he pleases, (at the moment) because of the amount that he has already won and continues to win and because he is still undefeated and is the biggest draw in boxing. Mayweather didn't really beat De La hoya in my opinion though. I have yet to see the Castillio fight(s)

double standard! the weight was suppose to be 154 it doesn't matter if it was 0.1 pounds under. I'm not saying canelo is undefeated but its not fair to say canelo is defeated and cotto undefeated.

yes as he lost to the greatest fighter on the planet. we will gone see that Canelo gone face Cotto, Martinez, GGG or even Pac man and he will beat all of them. Canelo is such a smart and strong kid but he lost to the best man on the planet FMjr thats why.

double standard ei

LOL please don't get made at me im just simply going by Floyd's logic.

In preparation of his fight with Cotto he said looks at him (with 2 losses) as an undefeated fighter because of the Antonio controversy (true) and here is what he had to say about his other loss against Pacquiao 'he faced Pacquiao, but Pacquiao caught him at a catch weight. He wasn't the best Miguel Cotto. He was drained.'

FACTS: Pacquiao fought Cotto at a Catchweight of 145 lbs, 2 lbs below the welterweight limit.

Mayweather fought Canelo at a catchweight of 152 lbs, 2 lbs below the junior middleweight limit.

So... if we go by Floyd's logic, Canelo is still undefeated...right?
