Roy Jones Jr. (prime) vs Ray Robinson (prime) at the 160lbs limit where they both held the Championship?

Ray Robinson via UD 15 Rounds.

I go with Sugar Ray Robinson. Roy Jones Jr. is probably the fastest boxer ever(with Sugar Ray Leonard on a decent second place). He would be faster than Ray Robinson, but Robinson isn't the greatest there ever was, because he was the fastest. Sugar Ray Robinson is called the greatest ever(even by the great Ali himself), because he had the whole package. He was fast, had great footwork, was a hard hitter, had accuracy and grace, an iron chin, fast hand and foot speed, was a smart fighter and always looked for a weakness of his enemy, he had unbelievable stamina and heart, probably the hardest right hook in boxing history and was also a great personality. Roy Jones Jr. is maybe faster and also a hard hitter, but Ray Robinson is the greatest boxer ever and he was great in every aspect a boxer could be great. There is no way Jones Jr. could ever beat Robinson. LaMotta could only beat him once because he has the hardest chin a boxer ever had and could absorb Robinson's punches and go the distance with him. Jones Jr. would never last longer than 7 rounds with Robinson constantly punching in his face.

Robinson by 7th round TKO

Sugar Ray Robinson is arguably the greatest boxer ever and i say amen! But he's have to face the best boxer he ever had to face and the best the planet has seen. Speed is one thing that prime Roy had an advantage against other boxers he's fought and if there's another one faster than him in boxing, let's stop the fantasy match ups and simply play DOTA. LOL

Roy Jones in his absolute best was simply untouchable. Ray had some speed too and had the more complete arsenal between the two. But you cant hit what you dont see and you cant hurt what you dont hit. Now I aint saying Roy will toy around Ray like its a mismatch. In boxing or in any other combat, speed is a factor and the one who possesses it had an edge. Roy simply had an edge over Ray in this category which he will utilize en route to a unanimous decision

Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest fighter of all time with a record of 175-19-6.---Jones 56-8, Robinson wins easily

Roy jones jr would win this in his prime he couldn't lose. People need to remember that when everyone said Robinson was the best boxer to ever lived none of these boxers existed.

Hello and great question. These two are two of my favorite fighters of all time. Roy Jones Jr. is the first Middleweight to win a Heavyweight title since Bob Fitzsimmons more than 100 years ago! Sugar Ray Robinson was probably his best at Welterweight but he is still an all time great Middleweight. Roy Jones Jr. began his career at Middleweight but did more at Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight.

Coming in, Jones has the size advantage. So he could hurt Robinson. This would be a very competitive fight, sometimes a boxing match, sometimes a brawl. I think these fighters are equal in speed, power, skill, and almost everything else except for size. Honestly a very difficult fight to call, but I'll take Robinson, the greatest of all time, by a close unanimous decision.

Robinson UD15.

If they rematched, Roy could take that fight, who knows.

Without doubt Robinson

The best pound for pound

Fighter only I be winner here

I can't say cos ray robinson was before my time and there aren't that many clips of him on the internet. Apparently he was even better than Ali pound for pound n Ali in his prime was incredible so I'll go with mr Robinson

I am going against tradition and saying that a prime Jones would win this fight, because Robinson was not in his prime as a middleweight.

Robinson was better as a welter, but as he aged he moved up, where he is still considered great.

This would be a good fight to see.
