First of all, how much longer does it take to type 1 letter more in a word. DA and the, DIS and this, Dat and that. Anyways, Floyd has fought at 154 while Canelo would struggle to make 147. But saying that, Canelo is much younger.

Floyd is not the one looking for this fight,its just everyone thinks Canelo is the man to beat Floyd! Realisticly Canelo is way too big for Floyd because he enters the ring close to 170 pounds but there is nobody left at 147 to challenge Mayweather. If this fight happens it should be at a catchweight of 150 with a rehydration limit of 160 pounds on fight night. Canelo would still have a ten pound weight advantage. That seems fair to me. Floyd is at the age now where he should not be messing with his weight too much. You have to remember who is the big draw here,if Canelo want a shot he sure as hell wont be calling the shots and rightly so.

it is common knowledge that draining a fighter usually takes it's toll more.at the time mayweather fought ODLH ,he had grown into 147 quite comfortably and had become champion so even if the 7lbs took something out of him,there is still no comparison.ontop of that he was fighting a man who had taken many a loss and was coming to his end.
