Was Marquez too excited when he won against Pacquiao?

Marquez was too excited, yes. He didn't expect it. That is why I called it lucky punch.

Man, you are over reacting. You know very well that a guy like Pacquiao would not succumb to such a punch from a fellow who does not even have a one punch KO capability, much less a killer punch. They have fought three times before and have thrown and received perhaps thousands of punches and none of them was severely hurt or damaged.

I see that you are putting JMM more to task for his seemingly unsportsmanlike behavior of not showing immediate outward concern for the fallen Pacquiao. But I think he did the proper thing because he would not want to get in the way of people who were needed really to be there---his corner, the ref, the medic. Note that the photographer who rushed to the seen was attacked by some members of his corner and that poor fellow was just doing his job.

JMM was also shocked like most of the spectators--- live and on TV---- by the suddenness of the KO. However, his was a pleasant shock. Exhilarated is I think the more proper term than excited. And that's borne out of years of frustrations in getting the short end of the decision. And even Manny in flush of pride refusing to concede any the benefit of the doubt about those decisions, even calling JMM a cry baby.

It's vindication for JMM really.

BTW, did Griffith come to Paret's corner in their fatal 3rd fight? He did not. But he did not gloat either; in fact he was remorseful. JMM also did not gloat in the immediate aftermath of that 4th fight, in fairness to him.

I gotta tell you this buddy, when someone falls unconscious, you gotta get control of the crowd. That's what we're taught about first aid back in school. The individual needs some air. I understand your side and really appreciate your concern for our beloved countryman Pacquiao. But it really aint good to have many people gather around when someone fell senseless. Mr. Marquez knows this

Was Marquez too excited when he won against Pacquiao?

"Too excited" was a bit understatement. Marquez was up there in the clouds. If Pacquiao fell asleep, JMM didnt get his own

yep, the whole mexican nation celebrated for weeks.... hahahahaaaa

why would marquez care? it was the plan since day 1 of training, heredia served his purpose when pac got KTFO... the 3rd round KD was a mistake revealing jmm's roided right hand, spoiled the plan pacquiao might not fall into the same trap again....but he did on the 6th and got KTFO... thats what jmm jumped for, the surprise

the only person who didnt joined mexico's jubilation is his own favorite son marco antonio barrera (youtube it).... cuz he knew what really hit pac, he felt ashamed bein a mexican that moment HAHAHAHAHAAAAA

the man was ROBBED THREE TIMES!!!

how do you expect him to react??

the whole World was riding Manny's D!ck!!

that was not only a brutal knockout revenge, it was a great social statement. Manny is ROYALTY in the Philipines. he sleeps on silk sheets and eats with a silver spoon. Marquez on the other hand represents the hard working, little man, still fighting at age 40, trying to make a little bit of money just to keep some food on the table

Manny was the star of the show. the new "Golden Boy". and Marquez sent it all crashing down with one right hand

that was quite possibly one of the most the greatest and graphic displays of vengeance ever seen in competitive sports

to think of how that series started with the 1st round of the first fight, to how it ended in the 6th round of their 4th fight.....that was one of the greatest revenge fights i have ever seen in my lifetime

he won a fight against pacman how do you expect him to react

obviously he's gonna celebrate, he celebrated the same way sergio martinez celebrated knocking out paul williams.

I know he thought he got robbed 3 times and he was happy that he got the knockout on his last fight, but I really thought Pacquiao died when he got hit (which could happen with such a punch) ... I just lost some respect to Marquez cuz he left Pacquiao on the floor and could have cared less if he died or not and was jumping around all excited, I know it's a fighting game but I m an amature boxer and usually always show sportsmanship and check on my apponents after competition and thank them for the fight ... I know it might not be a big deal but I have that picture in my head of Pacquiao being possibly dead on the canvas and Marquez jumping on the ropes caring less about a guy he calls a friend in many interviews ... I would certainly be concerned about my friend first then there is enough time to party later, plus it made it seam like he didn't believe in him self or his talent and shocked that it happened, I agree that I would be excited if I thought I got robbed 3 times then got a win but there is a right time for everything in my opinion .. What you guys think about this??
