The myth that "Barbados" Joe Walcott had inordinately long arms can be refuted just by seeing a photo of him.
Sam Langford, on the other hand, DID have disproportionately long arms and freakishly wide shoulders, giving him a very long reach for a fighter who was just 5' 6 & 1/2" or 5' 7".
AT flywgt (112 lbs) champ Jimmy Wilde was 5' 2 & 1/2", but often weighed in at 108 pounds FULLY dressed, incl wearing shoes.
