Can a boxer win without throwing a punch?

Not a fight but there is a legend that the great Willie Pep won a round without throwing a single punch, just by his supreme defence, making the other guy miss and his ring generalship.

There have been boxers in history that throw very few punches. They wait until the last round and throw an incredibly fast and powerful cross, when the opponent is tired and they knock him out. Can't remember the name of any right now but there are a few.

No, you can not win a decision without throwing a punch.

Regardless making the opponent miss every punch, without any offense a decent judge will not give you a round.

You can win with only jabs.

A successful boxer does Hitting with out getting hit,but how can any boxer win a match with out throwing punches? Answer:-They can't

I doubt that these boxers will ever be famous. The crowd wants to see action not a runaway.

Yup

are you talking about floyd mayweather? he's the best boxer out there but quite boring and lame to watch. I'd rather watch a telenovela than watch his matches.

Tyson

Hell yeah. It's bhy white bois shoudn't box black men

he just makes his opponents miss all the time and never tries to fight and throws the jab only and moves away.

I have been seeing lately that boxers are winning just by doing this strategy of fighting.
