Michael Spinks vs Floyd Patterson both fighters would weigh 195 Pounds?

This is an interesting one. See, many know Michael Spinks as one of the best Light Heavyweights of all time, but not too great at Heavyweight. I don't think he was bad at Heavyweight, since he did beat Larry Holmes and Gerry Cooney, and the only one who knocked him out was Mike Tyson. Floyd Patterson is very underrated in my opinion. He had that great trilogy with Ingemar Johanson, and beat some great fighters such as George Chuvalo, Archie Moore, Yvon Durelle, etc. He might be underrated because of his losses to Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston, but those two are obviously some of the very best of all time. In my opinion, Patterson's speed would be too much for Spinks, as well as his peek a boo style. Tyson knocked him out in 1 round, but Patterson doesn't have that type of power. I see Spinks doing fairly well, but Pattersons hand speed is the story here, and he'd win a unanimous decision.

Floyd Patterson was superior to Michael Spinks in every comparable catagory.

okay, what is your question? in my opinion patterson was a much better fighter than spinks. I remember listening to the patterson/Johansson heavyweight fights in '59, '60, and '61. don't know if spinks could take the punishment patterson did in the third fight and still retain his title

patterson in those three fights showed more courage than I see in fighters today

Floyd had faster hands and a stronger punch. Once he hit Spinks with one of 'em leaping punches, Spinks would be gone.
