how do fats takes punches...? is it numb and acts like a cushion or it's more sensitive to pain than lean muscles??????
no some guys used to put on a layer of body fat on top of their muscle to absorb shots better
Quite the opposite. Unconditioned muscles are more prone to pain than conditioned muscles. Which is why situps hurt so bad when you're out of shape with fat on your stomach when you first start doing them. As the ab muscles become more conditioned and the fat starts to go away, they become easier and less painful. But at the end of the day, a well placed body shot to the liver or solar plexus will drop ANY fighter no matter how conditioned his stomach is.
Though fat around the abdomen can act like a cushion but strong abdomal muscles will be more
able to receive the punches while being like a barrier to the inner body which can do much harm.
Hahaha no just because they're fat doesn't mean they feel more or less pain, I used to fight MMA and I trained with fat people it's all about being conditioned if you take so many hits and train your *** of sooner or later your body will learn to take a certain hit its just some people choose not to loose the weight I mean come on a fat fighter that's pretty legit lol but I mean na it's just conditioning
It really depends on the conditioning. Larry Holmes didn't have a Mr Olympia type physique but he was always in supreme condition and could take shots to the body. Then you got guys like Ivan Calderon who seemingly don't have an ounce of body fat and get hurt soon as you touch his ribs...
no if anything it's the other way round ,in the 80's heavy weights keep a little body fat to absorb punches to the body . fighters like witherspoon, page dokes and holmes all had body fat and all took a great shot
depends on their chin butterbean and ruiz were bums Most fat fighters run out of gas in 5 rounds and take a beating if they got a chin
It doesn't cushion the blow. It sends the kinetic energy, and the energy ripples across the entire torso, heavily minimizing the blow. You can only hurt a fat guy with a "pushy" type of punch.
butterbean, ruiz, and that ufc guy w/ beer belly etc...
