Floyd Mayweather or Chavez sr. In their prime?

Chavez was a BUM. He got schooled by an inexperienced Meldrick Taylor for 12 rounds, and got totally humiliated by Whitaker... and then quit like a ***** against De la Hoya.

This fight would be similar to Whitaker-Chavez... Chavez cannot deal with boxers who have above average boxing skills, Mayweather would school Chavez all night.

118-110 UD in favour of Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr. via UD RD 12, with the margin of 116-112 or 117-111.

This would be the same as Whitaker vs Chavez Sr., with Chavez always having problem dealing with counterpunchers.

But, it wouldn't surprise me if the judges robbed Floyd here, giving Chavez a draw or even the win. Floyd is well disliked, just like Whitaker was.

He may be the greatest fighter to come out of Mexico but he isn't the best. Juan Manuel Marquez is better than he was. Floyd Mayweather would easily out box Chavez Sr. Mayweather just has a remarkable ability to adjust and take his opponent's strengths away. Chavez Sr. would probably have some luck early on but eventually Mayweather would adjust and out box him.

At 135 Chavez SR by KNOCKOUT.

If 147 a weight that was never good for chavez SR to begin with mayweather by a UD

It will end up as Whitaker vs Chavez. Except that Mayweather was a better boxer and counterpuncher than Whitaker but would take more shots to the shoulder and arms. I see a UD for Mayweather by scorecards of 117-111

Floyd by UD at 147 , If they fought at 135 Chavez might get him .

Chavez Sr. destroys Floyd! Chavez was as tough as they come in those days. He's a murderous body-puncher, astute counterpuncher, has quick hands and solid power in both hands. JCC would break that shoulder guard and batter Floyd into stoppage (TKO) win by the 10th or 11th.

First off you idiot chavez was not a one dimensional fighter nor was he flat footed or had stamina issues. And he had great headmovement. You obviously don't know sh*t about boxing because he fought and beat Juan Laporte, Edwin Rosario, Hector Camacho, Roger mayweather, Meldrick Taylor twice, Frankie Randall twice only suffering one loss to him, and many more. And he's a 3 division world champ smartass.

I got my money on mayweather

mayweather beats him imo

Okay nobody can take anything away from Chavez sr. .. He is the greatest fighter to come out of Mexico ... WBC champion in 2 different weight classes but like all Mexican fighters, he had no foot work and was one dimension fighter that come forward and offensive with no great defense cuz of his great chin... He ll take 10 punches to land two KO punches and he had 80% KO ratio so his stamina was never tested against a slick fighter ... And of course due to him not having a lot of amatuer fights, he end up fighting tons of fights in Mexico to taxi drivers that no one has ever heard of, kindda like Canelo

So what happens when put in front a guy like Floyd who has a good stamina, doesn't focus on the knock out, has great footwork and attack from different angles while keeping the tremendous defense .. And NO sr. Or Roger were not even 1/1000 as good as Floyd so don't compare the Roger fight to what would happen here ... Is Chavez just going to miss all day and run out of gas and get mad or he had something special? And answer this question based on skill please and without being bias and supporting a Mexican over an American or vise versa!!
