They're going to fight in June.

The contract's aren't signed yet, but it's basically a for sure at this point, especially considering they have MSG reserved for the weekend of the PR day parade (June 7th).

Martinez has looked like sh*t lately, but against Murray I think he came back too quickly from the knee/hand injuries he suffered against JCCJR. Plus age may be catching up with him, which isn't a good thing considering how reflex oriented his style is.

Cotto looked like a beast against Delvin Rodriguez, but he looked terrible against Trout and Delvin is a low B-level type of fighter, so I don't put too much stock in it.

Right now I think it's a 50-50 fight considering all of my questions regarding Sergio, and if Cotto's last performance (with Roach in his corner) was legit and has him back on his game, or if it was a red herring.

I favor Martinez, I think he's too big for Cotto and after over a year off his injuries will be fully healed. IT's a great fight though, and I'm looking forward to it.

Very interested to see how the oddsmakers handicap this fight. I'm thinking Sergio will be like a -125 favorite, and if that's the case he's definitely worth a bet IMO.

To be honest I'm more wortied about Martinez than Cotto. He had surgery on his knee 1 or 2 times and broke his hand, been off for over a year at his age.

If Martinez fully recovered, I give him the edge. If not, good luck to him.

I depends on how much Sergio has left in the tank. He's had 2 surgeries, is closing in on 40 years old, and has been inactive. He really didn't look all that impressive in his last fight. I honestly think he should have a tune-up fight before he fights Cotto. Cotto looked strong and like the old Cotto in his last fight. I know it wasn't the best opponent he fought, but he showed that he can still do it despite the wars he's been in.

If Sergio is his old self, not rusty from the layoff and his body doesn't betray him, I think he decisions Cotto, but if he's not 100%, Cotto will beat him.

cotto will possibly stop martinez round 7-10,

martinez was a great fighter but sadly at 40 his body is packing up and if you look at his last two fights he has been getting knocked down and his punch power seems to be decreasing,

cotto looked a beast in his last fight under roach and i think he will be too powerfull and accurate for martinez , cotto will ease into it for the first few rounds and will have to adjust to martinez speed but he will pick him apart and stop him late on,

Um he is. Where have you been
