Why are so many people criticizing a pro boxer for not being a great reader?

Because it's Floyd and 50, both high profile figures in their respective industries. However, there is a bigger problem at the root of this.

.

You have to wonder what 50's true motives were here. I know both have gone back and forth with their bickering. However, unless I'm missing something, it just seems that 50's actions are mean spirited and unnecessary. This stems from an even greater problem.

.

I'll have to be brutally honest so forgive me in advance. The black race suffers from something that most or all other races in the US are nearly exempt from. I've been a teacher and instructor for many years. I manage thousands of people in a high profile industry. I don't claim to be an expert on human behavior but I have seen patterns in people and groups of people for many years.

.

Again, I see 50's actions as only the inability (of some black men) to resist tearing down other black men. I can't imagine what Floyd could have done to deserve this from 50. Again, I could be missing something but I just don't see any other reason for 50's actions.

.

It's very possible that the true root of their problem could be a woman (or women). It's possible that Ms. Jackson (Floyd's former fiancee) might be part of that. I could be wrong but I've suspected this for a while.

.

The bottom line is that it seems that many of this hip-hop culture thrive on tearing each other down. I just don't see what that accomplishes.

I'm in college and a lot of the people I know don't know how to read that well either. At work, my co workers can't read that well either. Yet, Floyd Mayweather will be a legend remembered for a long time while most of us who know how to read very well will not. Why? He gave everything to what he is passionate about.

People will critisize Floyd Mayweather no matter what he does.

Floyd Mayweather is more capable of becoming a good reader than his critics are of becoming a good boxer.

Because it gives people something to poke fun at. Floyd has a lot of money. He couldn't care less if he could read or not.

Honestly when someone succeeds and is great at what he does people begin to envy but Floyd is great but a cocky son of a

There is undeniable proof that the boxer can read, but not so great.

Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano and most other greats also lacked reading skills.

I criticize Floyd for many things but he never claimed to be the greatest reader.

Many great and INTELLIGENT men were not good at reading. Albert Einstein, a genius physicist, was also pretty bad at reading his native tongue.

In Puerto Rico I met some truly happy individuals and some did not know how to read.

I'm bilingual, can read, write and speak dual languages but i don't think myself better then others because of this. Only children and idiots would mock someone, especially a successful individual who will be REMEMBERED, because they can't read.
