Manny has announced he will fighting until early 2016 by which time he will be running for a senate seat. Floyd has until the whole of 2015 to complete his fight contract with Showtime. Manny will be 38 by 2016 and Floyd already 40. Old by boxing standard but both Manny and Floyd are above boxing standards. A fight in 2016 would be a fitting last hurrah for both notwithstanding what happens in between period. The motivation will still be there: Manny not wanting to leave boxing with a loss that may affect his electoral bid and Floyd simply hating to lose.

I think it will and I think it'll be a relatively easy decision win for Mayweather. Mayweather's size, length, and counterpunching make for a perfect foil for Pacquiao's tendency to over extend himself and run into stuff.

Yes, it will happen next year. Floyd would win because of his boxing skills and smarts. He won't be lured into a brawl with Pac and will just be content boxing from the distance. It would be a boring fight, with Floyd refusing to go toe-to-toe with Manny, and he'd get the UD win.

Pacquiao has problems facing counter punchers (Marquez). Floyd will pick him apart, he's the better boxer, better athlete and has impeccable defense with ring generalship, High IQ and amazing footwork. He'll toy with Pac just like he did to Marquez maybe even worse. Will the fight ever happen? No. Bob Arum is not going to let that fight happen.

Floyd Maybeweather BUILT his career on avoiding fighters in their prime.

The older Maybeweather gets the more likely he gets PAID to avoid Pacquiao by fighting low quality.
