If Joe Louis and Max Schmeling would've had a third boxing match, who would've won?

Louis of course. The only reasons why Max could beat Louis in their first match were the following:

1. Louis dropped his right hand after punching, so he lowered his guard which made him attackable for Max

2. Schmeling copied Louis counterpunching style during their first fight, which confused Louis and Joe didn't know how to attack him

3. Louis had an easy job knocking out the feared Max Baer, who was much more feared and a bigger puncher than Schmeling. Now in their first fight Louis thought he could do the same here with Schmeling, but he got frustrated after the fight laste longer than four rounds and after the fight went on and on and Schmeling could hurt Louis, but Louis wasn't able to knock him out, he got so much frustrated that his will to win got broken.

4. Louis was much stressed during the fight, because there was much pressure on him in beating Schmeling. People called the fight prior "Fight of the Century" and Louis had to win the fight, because it was known that the Nazis would have take the outcome as propaganda against black people and about their German super race and the people of America wanted to win, because many were against the Nazis and their regime and so the fight became political and the pressure on Louis grow bigger and bigger.

Now the reasons, why Louis won the second match:

1. Louis stopped dropping his right hand

2. Louis this time knew how Schmeling would attack him and what style he would use

3. Louis trained much harder for the second fight, knowing that Schmeling wouldn't be an easy time to beat

4. After losing the first fight the thrill was gone and many people, including the Nazis thought it would be an easy time for Schmeling to beat Louis again

In a third fight between them Louis would beat Schmeling in the same way he beat him in the second.

Louis, when they fought the first time, Schmeling noticed that Louis dropped his right hand, so he countered it.

By the time of their second fight Louis had matured and improved, where as Max was not any better than their first fight.

A third fight would not necessarily have ended as did the second but Louis is not going to lose again regardless how many times they fight.

Louis was surprised by Schmelling in their first bout being cocky and ill trained. The second bout and any one to follow would have been just as brutal.............Louis, nor his trainer Jack Blackburn would ever again let what happened in the Louis/Schmelling 1 to take place again.

Louis would of murdered Max.
